There serial number on your EZ-GO Golf Cart can be located in a few places. The large table below will help you find yours easily - just click on the videos on the right side of the page to locate your serial number!

Once you have the serial number, then enter your serial number into the top left search box on the EZGO website to verify the make and model of your cart!EZGO SERIAL NUMBER CHECKER ----- IMPORTANT: then read Step 2 below to verify the info on the EZGO website (it's not always perfect...)

When it comes to fitting wheels and tires, lift kits, and other golf cart accessories and parts on your EZ-GO Golf Cart, it is extremely important to make sure you know the year and make of your golf cart! We hope reading this easy guide means you no longer need to ask "what year is my EZGO?"!

The serial number code is arranged as follows: It will have a small grouping of letters and numbers. The last two numbers in the letter/number group is the year of manufacture. The longer grouping of numbers (no letters) is your serial number, which you will not need in order to know the year of your golf cart.

The serial number and manufacturer's number for these E-Z-GO golf cart models can be found on a plate located under the glove box on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The serial number is either six or seven numbers and does not indicate the model year. The manufacturer's number does reflect the model year. This series will have one letter and three or four numbers which will include two numbers indicating the last two digits of the year it was manufactured. E-Z-GO Golf Carts (prior to 1976) On E-Z-GO golf carts prior to 1976, you can find the serial number plate on the fender skirt under the driver's side seat. There is no simple formula for vehicles manufactured before 1976. You must e-mail us with all these numbers so we can help determine what model year you have. Please include all the numbers that you find on the plate.

* If the plastic tag is not there, you can find a serial number located on the front side of the rear body on the drivers side, under your charger receptacle or choke control. This is not your manufacturing code. However, you can email or call us with your serial number and we may be able to help you find out the year of manufacture.

When scheduling service or ordering parts for your golf cart it is very important to know and locate the serial number (VIN). Each cart has its own unique serial number just like a car and by knowing what this number is you are able to determine what type, year, and power supply your cart has. Below is a list of serial number locations for E-Z-GO Golf Carts.

Medalist (1994-95) & TXT (1994 to 2003)On these models the manufacturers code and serial number can be found on a plate in the passenger side glove box. The manufacturers code DOES include the model year. This number will usually be: One letter followed by 3 to 4 numbers. In that case the last two digits are the year it was made. The serial number is a 6 or 7 digit number that does NOT indicate the model year.

In this format, there would be 4-5 numbers before the serial number and the first two would indicate the production month, the second the production year, and the third (and potentially fourth) would indicate the number of wheels.

For example, a serial number of B405 would indicate a cart that was produced in the second month of production (probably July but could be August based on the year), on the fourth day of month (4), and in the year 2005 (05).

This means that the cart was produced in the eleventh month of that production (which would be April 2006, in spite of the 05 at the end of the number) and on the first day of the month.

So a serial number of 96I02 would indicate a cart produced on the second day (02) in February (I) of the 1996 production run, which would actually be February 1997.
